The Brazilian VALORANT Game Changers scene is gearing up for its biggest chapter of the year, as Riot Games has confirmed details for the Final Stage of VCT Game Changers Brazil. From September 8 to October 11, the country’s top eight women’s and marginalized-gender rosters will battle it out at the Riot Games Arena in Sao Paulo for a single ticket to the 2025 Game Changers Championship, set to be held later this year in Seoul, South Korea. Alongside the chance to represent Brazil on the global stage, the tournament offers a lion’s share of the R$100,000 BRL (roughly $18,482 USD) prize pool, ensuring fierce competition across every map.
The eight finalists bring together both seasoned powerhouses and underdogs. MIBR and Team Liquid Brazil, who qualified through Stage 2, join 2GAME and Corinthians Esports, who earned their spots via Circuit Points. They are joined by four Last Chance Qualifier squads: Team Brave Soldiers, Nao Estamos Aqui, Paintress, and Stellae Gaming. Among them, MIBR and Team Liquid stand out as the all-time favorites. MIBR’s road to the Final Stage has been particularly inspiring, as the team mounted a remarkable comeback in Stage 2. After dropping to the Lower Bracket following a semifinal loss to 2GAME, the squad fought through elimination matches before delivering a 3-1 upset over Team Liquid in the Grand Final. That victory cemented MIBR as the team to watch in So Paulo, though Liquid’s consistency and championship pedigree make them just as dangerous heading into September.
The tournament will follow a double-elimination format, with most matches played as best-of-threes. Only the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final will expand to best-of-five, progressively raising the stakes in the final sprint to Seoul. The opening round will see Team Liquid Brazil face Paintress on September 8, followed by MIBR against Stellae Gaming on September 9. Later that day, Corinthians Esports will clash with Team Brave Soldiers, while 2GAME will take on Nao Estamos Aqui to wrap up the quarterfinals on September 10. Winners will progress through the Upper Bracket, while the losing teams will be forced to fight for survival in the Lower Bracket, where every map could be their last.
Adding to the intensity is a new allocation system for Game Changers 2025. Unlike previous years, where qualification was more forgiving, only the Final Stage champion will qualify directly for the Championship in Seoul. Brazil does retain a lifeline, however: the country’s highest-scoring team in Circuit Points after the Final Stage will earn a place in the Americas Last Chance Qualifier. There, Brazil’s representative will face teams from North America and Latin America, with just one additional spot available for the global tournament. This change means every match in So Paulo carries weight beyond the trophy, with consistency across the circuit potentially deciding Brazil’s second representative at the world championship.
