Harry Kane's two goals propelled Bayern Munich to a 4-2 victory over Flamengo in the Club World Cup round of 16. Bayern quickly established a 2-0 lead, with an own goal and Kane's initial strike. Flamengo fought back, but Kane's second goal sealed Bayern's advancement to the quarterfinals against Paris Saint-Germain.

Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich defeated Flamengo 4-2 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Sunday, securing their place in the FIFA Club World Cup quarterfinals. The victory sees the German side bounce back from a defeat to Benfica and sets up a tantalizing quarterfinal clash with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in Atlanta.

Bayern Munich asserted their dominance early in the match. An own goal by Flamengo's Erick Pulgar from a Joshua Kimmich corner gave the German side the lead in the 6th minute. Just three minutes later, Kane doubled the advantage with a shot that took a deflection.

Flamengo showed resilience when Gerson scored in the 32nd minute, reducing the deficit. However, Leon Goretzka quickly restored Bayern's two-goal lead.

The Brazilian team continued to apply pressure, with Luiz Araújo forcing an impressive save from Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. Kane then extended Bayern's lead further, scoring his second goal of the match after being set up by Kimmich.

Jorginho converted a penalty in the 54th minute, pulling Flamengo back within one goal at 3-2. But Kane secured the victory for Bayern in the 73rd minute, scoring his third goal of the tournament.

The game attracted a large crowd to the 65,000-seat Hard Rock Stadium, with many fans donning Flamengo's colors.

This victory guarantees that at least four European clubs will compete in the quarterfinals. It also arranges a rematch of the 2020 Champions League final, where Bayern Munich emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over PSG.

Kane spoke after the match. "I know a lot of my game is judged on goals and I've been doing it throughout my career, but what maybe some of the German fans and some of the Bayern fans are realizing is that I'll do anything for the team to help us win."

Flamengo coach Filipe Luis acknowledged Bayern's superiority, saying, "We had our opportunities, but unfortunately they were the superior team in this fixture. The corner kick at the beginning of the match sort of took down our confidence a little bit."

Bayern's upcoming match against PSG follows the French champions' 4-0 victory over Lionel Messi and Inter Miami earlier on Sunday.
