Sidharth Malhotra’s latest release Param Sundari with Janhvi Kapoor may have opened to moderate buzz, but the film has steadily managed to carve a respectable spot at the box office. After six days of release, the film has collected Rs 37.1 crore net in India, thereby surpassing several of the actor’s past outings to emerge as his 7th highest-grossing film.
The film’s journey began on a cautious note, opening with Rs 7.25 crore on Day 1 (Friday). Thanks to word-of-mouth and a decent jump over the weekend, collections grew to Rs 9.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 10.25 crore on Sunday, taking the opening weekend total to Rs 26.75 crore. However, like many recent releases, Param Sundari faced the litmus test of Monday, where numbers dropped sharply to Rs 3.25 crore, reflecting a steep -68.29% fall.

Tuesday brought some respite with Rs 4.25 crore, showing a healthy 30% growth, but Wednesday witnessed another dip as the film earned around Rs 2.85 crore (rough estimates). This brought the six-day total to Rs 37.1 crore net, cementing its position among Sidharth’s top box office performers.
With this, Param Sundari has overtaken Thank God (Rs 36.35 crore), Yodha (Rs 35.74 crore), and Baar Baar Dekho (Rs 31.24 crore).
It now stands as Sidharth’s 7th biggest grosser, just behind Hasee Toh Phasee (Rs 37.36 crore). Given the current trend, the film is expected to cross that mark by Thursday night which would elevate it to the 6th spot in the actor’s career rankings.
Sidharth’s box office record has been a mix of highs and lows. His biggest hit remains Ek Villain (Rs 105.76 crore), followed by Brothers (Rs 82.49 crore) and Kapoor & Sons (Rs 73.22 crore). While he has had films like Student of the Year (Rs 70 crore) and Marjaavaan (Rs 48.04 crore) do well, others such as Baar Baar Dekho and Thank God struggled to make an impact. In that context, Param Sundari securing a place in the top 7 is a notable achievement, especially in today’s competitive box office environment.
The film’s future trajectory will depend heavily on its second weekend. If it can hold steady despite competition, it might even push further up the chart. However, given the sharp weekday drops, sustaining momentum could be a challenge. Still, the fact that Param Sundari has already climbed into Sidharth’s top tier highlights both the loyalty of his fanbase and the film’s ability to connect with a section of the audience. From this weekend onwards the film faces competition from Tiger Shroff’s action Baaghi 4 to Hollywood horror film The Conjuring-Last Rites, Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files, Kalyani Priyadarshan’s Lokah: Chapter 1- Chandra , Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi and Anshuka Shetty’s Ghaati.
