Amid the immense anticipation for Yash's upcoming film, 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups', a social media rumor recently gained traction, claiming that the star had taken over the directorial reins from Geetu Mohandas. Unverified reports suggested that Yash was unhappy with the initial output and had even ordered reshoots, effectively "ghost-directing" the period gangster film.Now, in a much-needed clarification, Malayalam actor Sudev Nair, who plays a pivotal role in the film, has stepped forward to address the swirling speculation.

In conversation with SCREEN, Sudev Nair firmly denied the rumors, stating that they are completely baseless. He went on to share that the set of the movie is one of the most peaceful and stress-free he has ever worked on. The actor also added that he never saw an ego clash between the lead star and the director.He said, "There is absolutely no truth to it at all." As per Nair, all such rumors are being propagated with malicious intent. Sudev Nair shared, "Some jealous people are running this campaign." The actor further added, "You should see how our set functions. It’s one of the best examples of collaborative work.”

Sudev Nair praises his 'Toxic' co-star Yash

Sudev Nair went on to praise the working dynamic between Yash and Geetu Mohandas. He said that apart from being "a big, massy star" who knows the pulse of the people very well, Yash is also "a very good actor."
Nair also shared that Geetu has "sensibilities," and Yash often takes inputs from her and vice versa. He said, "Both of their aims are only to get the best. There has never been any ego clash."The actor added that the atmosphere on the film set is never "stressful."
