When Vivek Oberoi spoke about his life-changing moment when he met wife Priyanka: ‘Tell me who you are’ – EXCLUSIVE

It’s Vivek Oberoi’s birthday today. The actor known for movies like ‘Company’, ‘Saathiya’ has been away from movies lately and he’s build a huge business empire for himself. He’s also moved to Dubai. Clearly, he doesn’t seem to be attached to the stardom or fame he enjoyed as an actor. In an interview with ETimes a while ago, when asked how he has managed to detach to being just an actor and have a wider perspective on life, Vivek had recalled a moment when he first met his wife. He had told ETimes, “In 2010, I met Priyanka for the first time, it was arranged by my mom. We are on Santa Trinita bridge in Florence. She was on a family holiday and my mom told me go meet her and if you don't like her, I won't bother. So, I went and I'm blown when I see her walking in front of me in a white linen shirt and pants and hair tied into a bun, no make-up. Just so simple." He further described that moment and said, “When I met her, she said, 'tell me about yourself'. I said, "I'm Vivek Oberoi, I'm an actor." She looked at me like a wise person looks at a child and said, 'That's what you do, tell me who you are." That made me realise, who am I and who do I want to be?' Ask this to yourself with no filter and you'll find happiness. So, I was just blown away with what she said and I was already infatuated with this girl."Vivek and Priyanka got married in 2010 and have two children – a son named Vivaan Veer Oberoi and a daughter named Ameyaa Nirvana Oberoi.
