Mrunal Thakur's Puran Poli Predicament: Actress Reveals Food Cravings and Fitness Secrets

Mrunal Thakur, a prominent figure in contemporary Indian cinema, is generating buzz as she prepares for the release of Son of Sardaar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn, scheduled for July 25th. Beyond her acting prowess, Mrunal recently shared an amusing detail about her relationship with food.

In a recent interview, Mrunal revealed a unique habit she practices at home. Known for her fondness for traditional Maharashtrian cuisine, she confessed to literally locking herself in her room when Puran Poli, a sweet flatbread, is being prepared.

"The problem with me is that when I’m not following any particular diet, I don’t work out either," she admitted. "But everyone else around seems to be on a diet, even when they’re not working out. I love eating so much, and I especially can’t resist Puran Poli. So when it’s made at home, I just lock myself in my room to avoid the temptation."

Despite her affection for food, Mrunal prioritizes a balanced approach to fitness. She mentioned that she isn't one to spend countless hours at the gym, preferring efficient and varied workouts.

"I work out twice a day, but I don’t like being in the gym for hours. I do smart workouts and switch things up regularly because I get bored very easily," she explained.

Her fitness regimen includes a mix of disciplines, ranging from Pilates and strength training to MMA, animal movements, and runs. Mrunal emphasizes the importance of variety and enjoyment in her workouts. She also considers swimming and dancing as effective and calming exercises for both the body and mind.

"I don’t want to look skinny. I want to look like a khate pite ghar ki ladki – healthy, happy, and exactly how my characters demand me to be," she added, referring to a girl from a well-to-do family.

Looking ahead, Mrunal Thakur has a busy schedule. She will soon be seen in Hai Jaawani to Ishq Hona Hai alongside Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde. She is also slated to appear in Dacoit with Adivi Sesh and is rumored to be collaborating with Siddhant Chaturvedi for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali production, a potential pairing that fans are eagerly anticipating.
